The Village of Ettrick is named after the Ettrick Forest, a mountainous area of Scotland, and is indicative of the scenic beauty which typifies this area. The North and South Branches of the Beaver Creek pass through the village and provide excellent trout fishing while enhancing the scenic qualities of the community.
A state approved snowmobile trail goes through the village with access to the
Jackson County trails, and beyond. State Highway 53 links Ettrick to myriad amenities available in LaCrosse and Eau Claire, Wisconsin and Winona, Minnesota...all within a short driving distance from the village.
Ettrick's "Fun Days" event each August brings friends and neighbors together for 3 days of celebration and fun. Visitors are welcome to take advantage of the community's hospitality, services and facilities.
