Originally there were two
banks in Arcadia, the
Farmers State Bank
(chartered May 14, 1913) and
the Bank of Arcadia. These
were consolidated under the
Charter of the Farmers State
Bank to form the State Bank
of Arcadia on November 6,
1933. The State Bank of
Arcadia's capital at that
time was $25,000 and has
steadily increased since.
The Capital, Surplus, and
Undivided Profits for the
Bank now exceed $9.6
million.
The State Bank of Arcadia
moved to its present
location in 1968. In 1998,
they opened their first
Branch in Independence, and
in 2003 opened a drive-up
facility in Arcadia. |
