Join us for one of the area’s best fireworks displays on the 3rd. Great family fun, food tent opens at 5:00 p.m. as well as a silent auction of items from local businesses. Live entertainment begins at 8:00 p.m. and continues after the fireworks. Fireworks begin at 10:00 p.m. great seating on the banks of Lake Henry. Bring your lawn chair or blanket for this 45 minute or longer display. Admission of $2.00 per button, many cash prizes awarded.

Participants in the 50-mile race start and finish near the Trempealeau Hotel, circle the Parrot Park, cross Hwy 35 north of the village and go up and down the scenic hills south of Arcadia. Race participants have six categories for men and women as well as tandem and hand cycles.

Open to cars of all ages, classes for muscle, custom, classics, street rods, trucks, and tuners. This event brings in over 300 of the areas finest cars. Prizes include $1,000 and this year a small block Chevy 350 turn key motor. Co-sponsored by the Strum Lion’s, food is available on grounds. New for 2008 will be a craft and vendor area, and a cruise on Friday evening.  Registrations: Cars $5.00 and Spectators $2.00.

Annual canoe/kayak tour using Midwest Rivers is spending an overnight in Tremplo County. 80-100 canoes, with 100-200 people in the group.  Events begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, 9:00 a.m. on Sunday.

History comes to life at Old Galesville University and Military Academy during this three day event. Thursday evening learn about Trempealeau County in the Civil War, Friday experience camp life and a parade. Join the soldiers for a stew supper and visit with them about their role in the War Between the States. That evening join everyone at the Military Ball. Saturday’s activities include a pageant, drills, camp life displays, and firing demonstrations. Fun family activity.

Join the Garden of Eden preservation Society for an evening of Celtic and American Folk Music. The group Prairie smoke will perform followed by cloggers at the historic Eastside Farm, or A.A. Arnold Farm in Galesville. Ticket information $6 in advance $8 night of performance.

Whitehall’s Beef and Dairy Days

Three routes ranging from 16 miles to the “Extended World Tour” approximately 60 miles for road riders of different abilities. Registration fee includes rest stops, t-shirt, and a meal ticket for our famous Whitehall Beef sandwich or chicken q-meal. This fourth ride in the Trempealeau series is becoming one of the most popular tours of the year, come and see why.
