The community of Beaches Corner, Wisconsin, in Trempealeau County, celebrates the opening day of the Wisconsin deer hunting season with a traditional pre-dawn hunter's breakfast at the Beach Corner Tap (4:00 am!!!) and special early holiday shopping opportunities for non-hunters and "hunters' widows" at a community-wide arts and crafts fair. Local artists and craftsmen will have their items on display at both the old service station and at Beaches Corner School, home of Beaches Corner Arts Studios. At the School, local artists will be on hand to demonstrate and answer questions about their work. Healthy snacks and beverages will be served, and Ron will favor guests with selections on the accordion by request. Media represented in the school gallery include: fiber arts, photography, wood turning and carving, rosemalling, painting, drawing and printmaking, sculpture, rug weaving, braiding and hooking, basketry, pottery, jewelry, and wearable art.
